In 2015, Netflix released the smash hit documentary “Minimalism: A Documentary About The Important Things” (Directed by Matt D’Avella), which took the world by storm to help remind everyone on how to find value in their lives. Booklight was hired to help film a small portion of the movie and handle Color Grading services on the trailer and final film as well.
In 2019, Director Matt D’Avella approached Booklight to co-produce the sequel to Minimalism, entitled “The Minimalists: Less Is Now”. This Netflix Original marks the third film collaboration between Booklight and Catalyst Films, D’Avellas’ production company.

“LESS IS NOW” explores the journey of Joshua Fields Milburn and Ryan Nicodemus, aka THE MINIMALISTS, and their path to happiness. The film is a Docu-Narrative and told through the lens of flashback narratives over documentary interviews.
